PERSONAL.
Mr. F. R. Jenkinson, Mr. F. Mark and Mr. R. Hicks (Wellington)- are at the Star Hotel. Major H. C. Glendinning, of Hamilton, is visiting Auckland. He is staying at the Central Hotel. Mr. Geo. Vercoe, president of the Waikato Racing Club, arrived in Auckland by the Limited express this morning. Mr. F. S. Dyson, Public Works engineer, Dunedin, has been given notice of his transfer on promotion to Auckland. Mr. Chas. Taylor, chief electrical engineer to the Shanghai electric tramways, who has been visiting New Zealand, left for Sydney by the Marama this afternoon. Mr. P. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner, who has been on a Departmental visit to Wellington, returned to Auckland by the Limited express this morning. Mr. S. H. Jenkinson, office engineer in the chief mechanical engineer's office of the railways in Wellington, was a passenger to Auckland by this morning's Limited express. Mr. E. Hammond (Christchurch), Mr. T. Mitchell (Whangarei), Mr. J. D. Oavevs (Rotorua), and Mr. A. Alcorn, Mr. B. Shannon and Mr. E. Griffen (Wellington) are at the Central Hotel. Mr. C. J. Parlane, manager of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., who succeeds Mr. H. H. Sterling, has returned to Hamilton after a tour of America and Europe. Mr. E. Casey, divisional superintendent for North Island railways, who has been visiting Hawke's Bay, returned to Auckland by the Limited express this morning.
