BOARDING HOUSE BURNED.

WAIMATE, this day.
A fire at two o'clock this morning completely destroyed an eight-roomed wooden boarding house, owned and occupied by Mr. James Anderson. A boarder woke to find the fire well advanced, and, though the brigade promptly arrived, a strong wind made a save impossible. The outbreak originated in the sitting room, where a fire had been lit in the evening. A good deal of furniture was not covered by I insuranoM. ■ . J
