POLL CLERKS.
I am sure otir worthy. Prime Ministrf would not approve of high school boys being employed as poll clerks on election day when so many men are unemployed. The duties of poll clerks are easily learnt and there are quite a number of disabled returned soldiers willing and capable of doing the work. EN ZED.
[Returning officers interviewed on this subject state that no students have been engaged as poll clerks. Government instructions are that returned soldiers shall be given preference. As far as possible this has been done. It is unusual to employ anyone .vhtui name is not on an electoral roll.—Ed.] .
