CAR CAPSIZES.
WOMAN THROWS BABY OUT.
FOUR PASSENGERS INJURED.

Four people were injured and three of I'K'in are in hospital as the result of the capsizing of a motor car between Hamilton and Ngaruawaliia on Saturday. They are: — Gladys May Taylor, acred three, laceration, bruises and fhoek. Mr. A. A. Baldwin, of Huntly, muscles of one hand and back severely injured. Mrs. Baldwin, injured ankle and shock. Mrs. Taylor, of Huntly, slight concussion. The car, containing eight people, was driven by Mr. Baldwin. The passengers in the car were: Mrs. Baldwin. Mrs. Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Slater, of Huntly, and four children. The driver swerved to avoid a motor cyclist and the car skidded in loose sand and at the same time struck a bump in the road. It turned a complete somersault. Mrs. Slater threw her eight-weeks-old baby clear as the car overturned. The child was picked up a few yards awaj iininjured. The most serious injuries were received by the child Taylor, whose ankle find instep were severely lacerated by a barbed-wire fence. Mr 3. Baldwin, suffering from shock and an injured ankle, pluckilv assisted in removing the children to the residence of Mr. Malcolm at Te Rapa, and then collapsed. She was removed in an ambulance with her husband to Huntly Hospital. The little girl Taylor is in the Walkato Hospital. The remainder of the party continued the journey to Huntly in Mr. Malcolm's car this morning. All the injured are progressing well. The car was extensively damaged.
