ST. ANDREW'S CHURCH.
TWO MEMORIAL TABLETS. SPECIAL ARMISTICE DAY HERVICE. Sunday, November 11, being Armistice Day, a special service of more than ordinary interest is being held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Lower Symonds Street, in the morning at 10.45 a.m., the office-bearers of the church having decided to unveil two brass tablets, one to the memory of the late Mr. John Reid, who, for twenty-six years, was session cleric, and for twenty-five years treasurer of the church; the other to the memory of the late Mr. Win. Culpan, who, at the age of 18, was appointed organist of the church, and held the position continuously for thicty-seven years. Mr. Culpan was also a deacon of the church for ten years. Arrangements have been made for Rev. D. D. Scott, moderator of the charge, and Rev. •Jas. Milne, M.A., of the Thames, a former Minister of the church, to conduct the service. Mr Milne will give the address. Member* of the Returned Soldiers' Association will attend the service, together with members of the Old Colonists' Association and the Auckland Bowling Club, both Messrs. Reid and Culpan having been members. Special appropriate hymns and music will be rendered, and the service, by request of the Government, will commence at 10.45 a.m. sharp in order that the two minutes' silence can be observed at 11 a.m. Arrangements have been made that the service will be broadcasted by IYA.
