In an address to a large audience lit Howick, Mr. E. Allen, United party candidate for Hauraki electorate, explained the United party platform, and stressed how the proposed £70,000,000 loan would benefit the farming community. The candidate answered a number of Questions to the satisfaction of the ttudiencc. A short address was also given by Mr. A. J. ytallworthy, United party candiJlate 'or Eden. Mr. Allen received a unanimous vote of thanks and Confidence.
