(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. A notice gazetted to-day appoints the four mem'bere of the crew of the Southern Crose who made the Taeman flight to the New Zealand Air Force. SquadronLeader Kingsford Smith is given the rank of Major, Flight-I/ieutenant Ulna that of captain, and Messrs Litchfield and Me William that of lieutenant. The appointment* date from October I 10, the appointees being simultaneously J transferred to the r#erve ofofficere. -
