AGRICULTURAL HIGH SCHOOL.

QUESTION OF SITE DISCUSSED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, Wednesday. Mr. H. V. Mellsop, the Country candidate for Franklin, said in an address at Paerata he considered that if an agricultural high school were established near Auckland, it should be placed at Pukekohe, rather than at Otahuhu.

Mr. Mellsop said it was apparent that Otahuliu, being so near the city, was rapidly extending, and farm land there, he considered, would shortly be required for building. On the other hand Pukekohe was purely a farming centre, with a large agricultural population, and its big interests were in agricultural pursuits, and were likely to be so for very rnanv rears to come.
