MAN REFUSES TO LEAVE PATH. (Bj Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Walter Campbell, a labourer, openly defied the police by refusing for half an hour to move off the footpath when ordered by a constable to do bo. To-dav he was fined f 1 and costs. Senior-Sergeant Sweeney said the case was important, and Mr. Wilson, S.M., remarked that the seriousness of openly defying the police could not be too strongly stressed.
