ROYAL SHOW AWARDS.

PALMERSTON N, this day.
To-day was judging day at the Royal Agricultural Show, and a splendid array of pedigree stock was presented to the judges. The following additional championships have been awarded:—Tamworth boar: D. and S. Rosa (Te Puke); reserve, Bird Bros. (Oroua Downs). Sow: D. and S. Ross; reserve, Bowen and Wilson (Hastings). Large black boart D. and S. Rosa j reserve, E. P. Nielson (Tiakitahuna). Sow: E. P. Nielsen; reserve, Central Development Farm (Weraroa). English Leicester, in wool, ram or ewe: Sir R. Heaton Rhodes; reserve ram or ewe, Sir D. Mac Lean. Border Leicester, in wool: G. V. Pearce (Waitotara), all championships. Shorthorns.-—Bulls: J. A. Johnstone's (Palmerston South) Bushy Park Augustus Hero; reserve, J. A. Johnstone's Bushy Park Lavender Royal. Cows: Arch. McLean's (Hastings) Greenhill Lady Flora X.; reserve, Arch. McLean's Greenhill Royal Duchess XIV. Mr. J. A. Johnstone's Augustus Hero won the New Zealand Shorthorn Society's cup for the best Shorthorn, male or female, registered in the society's herd book, and also a cup for" the best pedigree Shorthorn bull, presented by the Shorthorn Society of Great Britain and Ireland.
