SYDNEY, this day.

Fire in the City Council's new powerhouse at Bunnerong destroyed a large quantity of valuable switch gear belonging to Metropolitan Vickers, Limited, in a storeroom. Fireman Hayden was entrapped in a corner of the store and fought his way through the flames, falling exhausted just as his comrades managed to reach him and pull him to safety.
