OPENING OP REMUERA GROUND.
new; tennis courts.
Members of the Auckland Girls' Atretic Association are confident that the omcUl opening of the sports ground, Market Road, Remuera, on Saturday, will be highly successful. During the afternoon the programme postponed from last Saturday will be decided. Music will be supplied by the Ponsonby Boys' Brass Band. The grounds are In excellent condition, and it is expected that, given a fine day, the girls will be able to show the public the reasons which have actuated the action | of the A.G.A.A. in providing Auckland with a girls' sports ground. There has been a large demand for tennis courts this year, and they are now under construction. This will necessitate the sports being held a little to the side of the grandstand, but arrangements have teen made for seating accommodation around three sides of the sports field. A most enjoyable afternoon is promised to all Interested in the outdoor play of the city s young business girls.
