ANNUAL MEETING. The annual mectine of the Stanley Riy Improvement .Association was hold Mcnd.iv i ir rht in the Mission Hall. Callione Road. The rearing chairman. Mr. E. Aldridre. outlined the progress of the association (Turin" thp past twelve months, and complimented the district on its endeavours to turn the previous mud flat into a valuable plavine nrpn for nil classes of snort. Tie complimented the Xjrafaringa Tennis Club for the fine work they had achipved since the inception of the area. The lad'es' croquet lawn was now taking shape, and it would bo anothor added asset to Stanley Bay district. Sheehan. the incoming chair man. in a brief nolicr spppcli. expressed the conviction that the completion of the football field was the essential objective for the current year. Tie looked forward to the park being used as a winter sports trround. and the present drainage operations wou'd heln materially in the realisation of that hope. The children's plirsround had also to ho comn'eted. The association should also consider the construction of a hathine pool on the beach as one of its oMectives. Wjfh the wholehearted co-operation of the members the association now looked forward to another successful rear.
