AT MOTUIHI ISLAND. PREMIER'S STATEMENT. RESTRICTION OF QUARAXTDCF AREA The Premier (Mr. J. G. Coates) announced last evening that the Government had arranged to make available the greater portion of Motuihi Island as a marine park for Auckland. The quarantine station would be confinedto a small a space as possible, and the rest of the land would be converted into a park to be controlled by a board, such as the Harbour Board or City Council
