PURCHASE OF JACKIE AUDUBON.
For some days negotiations have been in progress between the Auckland sportsman, Mr. M. Moodabe, and the owner of Jackie Audubon, for the purchase of the Great Audubon gelding. It is understood that a price running into four figures has been agreed upon, and there is every likelihood of the sale being completed to-day. If so, J. Shaw will take over the charge of Jackie Audubon upon his arrival in Christchurch, and the gelding will carry Mr. Moodabe's colours at the New Zealand Cup meeting.
