ANOTHER CHINESE FINED.

TO BE DEPORTED

"It's just an ordinary case of a Chinese remaining in the country too long," said counsel for Chan Sing (35), who appeared at the Police Court this morning, admitting his offence.

"That's just the trouble, it is too ordinary," said Mr. F. K. Hunt. "We are getting far too many of them overstaying their temporary permits."

The Collector of Customs, Mr. J. Mcintosh, said that Sing had stayed here a year too long.

Sing was fined £20, in default, three months' imprisonment, and he was also ordered to be deported.
