AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.

TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE.

A fair amount of business was transacted on 'Change yesterday afternoon. Another sale was made of Wilsons Cement at £2. British Tobacco shares had further business at £2 1/, and Pukemiro Collieries eased to sales at £3 7/6. This morning a sale took place of Hikurangi Coal preference shares at 11/3, the highest point yet touched. Renown Collieries preference shares also sold at 3/.

Shares in shipping companies had attention yesterday afternoon, Huddart Parker Steam being placed at £2 8/3, Northern Steam at 14/1, and Devonport Ferry at. £1 4/6. Waihi shares also sold at 14/1, and for Soldiers' Inscribed per cent Loan £101 5/ was paid again to-day. National Insurance were placed at the noon call at 16/6. Business was done in Bank of New Zealand shares yesterday afternoon, and again to-day at £3 1/3. Buyers of Bank of New South Wales Shares offered £51 7/6 this morning, an advance of 2/6 on tho last previous sale. Buyers of Bank of Adelaide.shares advanced their price to-day to £10. inquiry was made for Napier Gas ( £10 shares) at £10 7/6.
