Fusillade Between Two Men In Small Village. BUTCHER'S MURDER. (Received 12 noon.) PERTH, this day. The police obtained a statement from Thomas Smith, who was arrested at Dwellingup on the charge of murdering John Ibbott. Smith states that owing to his employer, John Ibbott's, refusal to pay him wages, a dispute occurred. John Ibbott attempted to reach for a rifle and Smith snatched another rifie and shot him in self-defence.
