SOUTH AFRICAN MOVEMENT.

(Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) CAPETOWN, October 26. The non-Jewish leaders of South African thought and culture headed by General J. C. Smuts, Colonel F. H. Creswell, Minister of Defence, Mr. T. J. Roos, Minister of Justice, and the Anglican bishops, have issued a declaration of sympathy with Jewish national aspirations, and of readiness to assist in the realisation of the ideals of Zionism.

The declaration states: "We arc confident that Palestine will again be a source of healing and enrichment for the nations of the world."
