DOMINION' COUNCIL. THE NEW OFFICE-BEARERS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. At the general meeting of delegates of the New Zealand Cricket Council to-night officers were elected as follows: Patron, the Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson; president, Sir Francis Bell; treasurer, Mr. W. H. Winsor; secretary, Mr. J. Peake; auditor, Mr. A. E. Burn; committee, Messrs. E. R. Caygill, A. T. Donnelly, H. M- Taylor, 4- Ramsden, and P. Dalrymple. The meeting discussed the proposed change in the form of competition for the Hawke Cup. The council finally decided that the competition be left as it is for the present. It was decided to write to Lcfrd Hawke and ask his permission to change the form of competition if at any time the council might wish to do so. A motion expressing appreciation of the work done for cricket by Mr. Dan Reese and Mr. J. S. Barrett was carried. It was proposed to make both life members, but at their widh the matter was keld over. A tribute was also paid to the ••tiring president. Mr. F. Arkwright.
