Riccarton Track Work.—Busy Morning In Slow Going. (By Telegraph—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHUKCH, this day. Training operations this morning were conducted, in wretched conditions, following oil rain throughout the greater part of Friday. There was an improvement in the evening, but it was brief, and more rain fell during the night, continuing with only slight intermissions during working hours. All galloping was done oij tiie inside of the trial grass track, which was slow, though in good order. Banket was out, his task being a working gallop over six . furlongs, the last half-mile taking 555. King Miuus had an unnamed juvenile as mate in running half a mile in 3-3 l-ss. L'hildsplay went well while running six furlongs in 1.20, and looked as ii she could have done a little better at the finish. Honour and Jaleux sprinted half a mile in 545. Prickles, with Impertinence as mate for the last six furlongs, covered a mile in 1.45 1-os. Prickles was slightly in front at the end of a good gallop. Paperchase occupied 1.35 2-5 over seven furlongs without being unduly bustled at the iinisli.
Full Feather ttrode round to the mile post at a useful pace, and then ran home over half a mile in 53 2-ss.
Commendation and (Jhelone separately got through useful pace work. Pride and Golden Armour were associated over a mile in 1.48 3-5. Golden Armour looks in good order.
Footfall and Star Stranger were companions over a mile and a-quarter. They kept close company all the way, Star Stranger having an advantage of half a length at the winning post. The gallop in 2.16 was a useful efftfrt.
Roscrea beat Zeuxis by two lengths after running seven furlongs easilv in 1.35.
Gold Tinge beat Narrative over half a mile in 525.
Silver Coot occupied 1.25 111 an easytask, a six-furlong spin, Noteworthy taking 1.25 1-5 for a similar task.
Starsliooter covered a mile in 1.48 2-5, while Phillipic followed over the same ground in 1.49.
First Sight strode out freely over seven furlongs in 1.35 3-5.
Count Cavour was given useful work over about six furlongs. Paper Boy ran down from the halfmile post without being unduly exerted. Lucky Light" did a working gallop over seven furlongs, taking 57s for the last half-mile.
Pink Not!; and Hoy lake were companions over a mile, which occupied 1.45 4-5. Pink Note acted well in the heavy ground, and was four lengths in front at the finish, his effort being very attractive.
Stately ran down from the half-mile post, but was not doing her best. Front Rank finished slightly in front of Sunny Pal at the end of half a mile in 52 3-os.
Joy King and the two-vear-old False Scent sprinted half a mile in 51 4-ss.
Teri was half a length in front of Battle Colours at the end of seven furlongs, run in 1.35 3-5.
Speed Light was allowed to stride along over a few furlongs up the back.
Amor occupied 56s for half a mile.
Silver Paper took 1.3S to run seven furlongs, but he was going comfortably. Red Heckle sprinted half a mile in 525.
Rapier and Rotor covered a mile and a-quarter in 2.14. They showed a lot of spppd in the early stages, reeling off r .he first six furlongs in 1.17 1-5, while the last half-mile occupied 56 4-ss. Rotor was a length in front at the finish, and seemed to revel in the going;. Money Order strode out freely over half a mile. Mandune occupied 1.52 for an easv mile. Beacon Light galloped seven furlongs, moving freejy. He looks well after his two races at Trentham. Admiral Drake had Cassock Chief as mate in a half-mile sprint up the back. Laughing Prince took 1.39 1-5 to ran seven furlongs, but he was going easily. Imarosebud covered seven furlonjrs comfortably in 1.37 4-5. . Dinna's Lad was given a useful gallop over a mile. Consent ran six furlongs under a pull, and Cashier <rot through a similar task.
