MARKET CONDITIONS.
Thfe price, obtained by poultry feeders is very disappointing at present. Retailers are selling as low as 1/2 and 1/3, and occasionally producers have cut their price to 1/ a dozen to clear stocks. Unfortunately the cost of food does not follow the general market trend. If it did poultry men would be getting their wheat at least 25 per cent cheaper and the low prices of their produce would not matter so much. The price of grain is at a figure which benefits Canterbury wheat growers, but the industry suffers.
