RATANA'S EX-SECRETARY.

Mr. Pita te Turiki Tamate Moko has been nominated for the Eastern Maori seat, in opposition to Sir Apirama Ngata.
It is understood Mr. Moko stands as an Independent. He was formerly secretary to Mr. W. T. Ratana, and at one time fought in an Australian ring as Peter Thomas.
