CORINAX STARTS SEASON WELL.
Corinax had his first race this season! in the Liverpool Handicap at the Auckland spring meeting, and showed up till the' straight was reached. It looked then as though he would not be long in getting on the winning list. His next start was in the Waikato Cup at Te Rapa on Saturday, and he was never further away than fifth during the early stages, and when the straight was reached was third, Queen Arch and Valkon being tho only Ones in front of him. Valkon then took charge, but in tile final run Corinax quite outstayed him. Corinax has only to go on the right way to bo Very hard to beat in sonic Of big events at Ellerslie at Christmas time.
