PERTH, October 21.

The cricket match, England v. Western Australia, "was concluded yesterday, a drawn game resulting. There were 8000 spectators. The gate takings totalled £580.

The weather was dull and threatening and rain compelled some stoppages.

When stumps were drawn on Friday England had made 406 runs in their first innings and Western Australia had lost four wickets for 18L The good fielding of the visitors yesterday saved many runs and the local side was dismissed for 257, or one run over the follow-on limit.

The innings had lasted 5& hours. Horrocks, quite a youth, batted 174 minutes against all the English bowlers. He had six partners and made 75 runs, including eight fours.

England's second innings was stopped by rain shortly after the resumption.

When play commenced again Geary, who was batting freely, was knocked unconscious by a fast ball which rose and broke his nose. He was sent to hospital. This incident cast a gloom over the match. The cricket match Australia v. Tha Rest was continued yesterday. The weather was cold with occasional light showers. The wicket was good but slow.

Ponsford, one of the not out men for Australia, was stylish. His innings lasted 134 minutes. He hit seven fours. Andrews, the other not out man, was patchy. His innings lasted 111 minutes and he hit five fours.

Kip pax batted soundly for 71 minutes and hit four fours. At one stage four wickets fell for 19 runs. Scott, Kellewav and Nothling were bowling well. Gregory was slow. Woodfull, who was indisposed, was stodgy. Oldfield and Grimmett were associated in a very bright partnership for 86 runs in 44 minutes. Grimmett was surprisingly good, and Oldfield was faultless.
