THE DAIRY INDUSTRY.

MORRINSVILLE RETURNS. PAY-OUT AND PRODUCTION HIGHER. The total advance payments that will be made to suppliers to the companies operating in the Morrinsville district today will be considerably higher than the distribution for September, 1927. This has been made possible by a higher basis of pay-out in most cases, and increased output in all factories. The most striking figures are those of the Morrinsville company, where the increase for the month was 50,0001b of butterfat and the pay-out nearly £4000 in excess of last year.

The Norfolk company (cheese) is making another high pay-out, the figure being 1/9, which, with an increase of 01481b of butterfat, will return an extra £1019 to suppliers.

The increase at 'l'atua is not so marked being 40391b of fat. Suppliers will re ceive £1697 more than last September.

At Sunny Park, Tc Poi (dual plant), the figures indicate the preference for the cheese market, there being a large increases in the quota of checse, and a drop in the output of butter. The total butterfat shows an advance of 11491b, and the pay-out an increase of £702 14/7. The figures are as follow, those of September, 1927, being given in parentheses:
