Waimea Hack To Battle Maid. Tunamoe's Hurdles. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GORE, this day. The following are the results of the concluding day of the Gore Racing Club's spring meeting, being held in fine weather on a good track. F. Thomson, the rider of Red Heather in the Hurdles, was removed to hospital suffering from slight concussion. Results:— PUKERAD HURDLES HANDICAP of 140sovs. About one inile and a-half. 2—TUNAMOE, 10.0 1 4—APPLE DIGHTON, 0.2 2 S—PARADAR, 9.0 3 Also started : Red Heather, 11.7 ; Atapo, 10.3; Uncle Bob, 9.5. Won by half a length, with four lengths between second and third. Time, 3.0. Atapo and Red Heather fell. WAIMEA HACK HANDICAP, of 140sovs. Seven furlongs. I—BATTLE MAID. 7.9 1 S—RED RACER. 7.9 2 7—TAKAKA, 7.7 3 Also started : Marjoram, 9.6; Cupid'a Dart, 8.4; Royal Flower, 7.10; Colonel Crawford, Full Flight, Gayoma, Thurlow, 7.4. Won by a neck, with three-quarters of a length between second and third. Time, 1.33 1-5.
