WHANGAREI LOAN POLL.
DRAINAGE PROPOSAL CARRIED.

WHANGAREI, Wednesday.
A ratepayers' pall, taken to-day on four proposals involving £57,924, resulted in two being carried and two of (them being defeated. The sewerage drainage loan of £59,000 was carried by 526 to 115. The Maunu Road reconstruction, £5900, was carried by 246. to 196. The proposals defeated were: Library extension, £1300 (the voting, being 210 to 222), and central park improvement, £1724, defeated by 186 to 252.
