FAVOURABLE CONDITIONS.

A fairly interesting amount of work was disposed of at Trentham this morning under favourable conditions. The inside of the trial grass and tan tracks were in use, and the course proper for two-year-olds. The former were faster.

On the Tan.

Bourse beat Battle Torque over six furlongs in 1.18.

v Oratrix and Concentrate paced an easy half-mile in 565.

Chief Singer and Rory Moi; ran six furlongs in I^o.

» Pink Note, going freely, beat Black Mint over a mile in 1.47, the first half in 525. i On tbe-Grass. Panther' .and Roi de Val went five furlongs in 1.3, Royal Duke three fur-, longs in 375.

.. '."Commendation covered - his first three furlongs in 395, four furlongs in 51s, five f urjonga in 1.4, and a mile —going strong —in 1.43 2-5.

Historic and Rameses covered six furlongs in 1.18, and Freeze Out six furlolb gs in 1.18, the last five in 1.5.

Staghunter was brought home over the last half mile with Shot Silk, who did seven furlongs in 1.31, the'last six in 1.17 4-5. '

: Imarosebud'and the Rabbi ran seven furlongs in 1.31 1-5, the first four in 51s.

Goshawk (R. Reed) .and The Hawk (J. Barry) could have improved on 1.33 2-5 for seven furlongs, the last six taking 1.20 4-5.

First Ruler, over four furlongs, took 525.

Pari ran away from Ardenzo over four furlongs in 51s.

Cliarmaline beat Abisogne and Ballyfarnon over six furlongs in 1.18 1-5, the last four in 52 4-ss. Course Proper. Crash beat Roman Lake comfortably in a sprint from the half-mile barrier. Sunward, Gay Ballerina and Sunny Boris ran from the same place in 495, finishing in that order.

Push was slightly'ahead of Insurgent from the same post.

Horses out pacing included Star. Stranger, Joy King, False Scent, Rapier, Battle Colours, Radiate, Royal Game, Chelone, Cimabue, Moa Bird and White Fang. After Breakfast. First Money finished with Gold Tinge on the course proper over four furlongs in 495. Courtlike and Duellona together registered 48 3-ss. Revenge and Lady Rene took 535. Greenmantlo and General Assembly exercised on the tan, but pulled up at the end of a furlong on the grass track. Rotowhero beat Decoy Bird over seven furlongs in 1.30 3-s—a good effort. Taheka and Emotion beat Stanchion over four furlongs in 49 l-ss. Stanchion almost fell. Askari was beaten by Lady Gay over a niile in 1.50.

Equitant sprinted down the straight. Head Serarig and Tanagra were given easy work. •
