HAURAKI PLAINS CLUB.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PAEROA, this day. There was a representative attendance of Kerepeelii bowling enthusiasts at a meeting convened to consider the formation of a bowling club. Mr. J. McLaren, who presided, explained that the idea was to form a club for the whole of the Hauraki Plains. • ' >'• Mr. R. Carr contended_.-thdt Kerepeehi was the best place on the Plain's for the laying down of a green, as the foundations were good. He had interviewed Mr. A. J. Innis relative to securing two quarter-acre sections near the tennis courts. The purchase price was £150, or a lease, with right' of purchase could be secured. Mr. McLaren said he had inspected the site and considered, it suitable, although he considered half an acre was not sufficient for a bowling green and croquet lawn. He thought £230 would cover the cost cf making a green. On Mr. Carr's motion it was unanimously agreed to form a bowling club, to be called the Hauraki Plains Bowling Club. Messrs. R. Carr, J. M. Thompson, J. McLaren. P Pearson, J. Murdoch, Clifford and D. Shilton were appointed a committee* to interview I 1'; tnnis and any others who had sections of land suitable {or a green.
