McCONACHY V. LUfDKTTM.
BOTH PLAYERS IN FORM. Brilliant billiards was witnessed when the match of 18,000 np between Walter Lindram (Australia) and Clark McConachy (New Zealand) was continued at the St. James' Theatre building yesterday. Both players were well up to their best form, McConachy, who did the heavier scoring at both afternoon and evening sessions, particularly so. There was again a big a tendance of the public. At the afternoon session, Lindram started off in brilliant style, carrying his unfinished break of 106 to *367. Scores:— W. I/indrum: 9750. Breaks of 367. 124, 106. C. McConachy: 8363. Breaks of 122. 104, 160, 116, .1*25. Both players were again in good form for the evening's session. Lindram earned on a small unfinished break of 214, showing excellent judgment in so doing. McConachy, in top-of-the-table play, added 261, but the Australian bettered this effort by a splendid break 2W». Fine positional play alloired McConachy to register another threefigure break, 172, and he got in again at his next visit to the table to rattle "Pll6. Near the end of the session McConachy delighted the spectators with a beautiful break of 317, only breaking down as the result of a miscue. The session scores were:— W. Lindrum: 10,601 (in play). Breaks °£ 214, 14, 296, S6 unfinished.—Average of 93.75. C. McConachy: 9332. Breaks of 276, 11<», 317. Axerage of 1145. Both plavers gave displays of trick and fancy shots. The match will be continued this afternoon and. this evening.
