BRITISH CAPITAL COMING. FOR WHEY DEVELOPMENT. * The directors of the New Zealand Sugar of Milk Company, which has a factory at Edendale, Southland, have reported to shareholders that, subject to the latters' approval, they have acepted the offer of Whey Developments, Limited, of England, to the company as a going concern. The purchase price represents a return of £1 10/, by way of cash and preferential shares, for each £1 share. "Mr. J. <i. Neil, chairman of directors, states that Whey Developments, Limited, is opening up other factories in New Zealand, besides works in England. The present directors of the Sugar of Milk Company will form the New Zealand board of the new company. AUCKLAND'S OUTPUT. INCREASED YIELD. The favourable conditions which have existed in all parts of the Auckland province since the dairy season opened are reflected in the latest returns of gradings made at the port of Auckland. Following is a summary of boxes of butter and crates of cheese received during the past fortnight and since the beginning ot' the season into the grading stores of the Auckland Farmers' Freezing Company, together with the figures for the corresponding period of last season: — Butter.
