AUSTRALIA DELIGHTED

Tension Relieved By Report Of Sighting Land. TLANES SIGNALS WEAK. ' (Received 12 boob.) SYDNEY, this day. Details of the Southern Cross' flight, obtained by radio, were published in all the newspapers this morning. The latest message appeared in a 5 am. edition of one of the newspapers, announcing that the airmen had sighted land. This relieved the tension and canted a feeling of the utmost pride in the intrepid airmen. Most of the signals from the Southern Cross were weak, with plenty of static, tat the main fact that all was well with the airmen was often heard by the Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide and Queensland "A class" radio stations. The airmen also reported excellent flying conditions.
