In order that the firemen should not be exposed to the danger of electrocution whilst working on the roof near the high-tension electric wires in Queen Street, the Power Board officials cut off the current from the sectio., in which the fire was located until the outbreak was suppressed. The property is owned by Mr. J. H. Davies. The building was insured for £700 and the furniture for £300, both policies being held by the North British office.
