' I am tired of poverty and ill-health and am taking a. short cut. out of it." was the statement in a letter addressed ti> the coroner and found in the pocket of a man who was discovered luin<rin<; from the overhead railway bridge near New- Plymouth station to-night. The man, Andrew Binnie, was a native of Scotland, aged about 60. He is believed to have come from Palmerston North. He died in hospital.
