RACING ELECTION.
ACTION BY PRESIDENT OF CONFERENCE. A Press Association message from Christchurch confirms the statement published in the "Star" on Tuesday that the president of the New Zealand Racing Conference has decided to declare the election of the executive at the annual meeting null and void, and has asked the delegates if they are agreeable to a postal ballot being held.
AVONDALE JOCKEY CLUB.
Nominations for all handicap events to be decided at the Avondale spring meeting, and forfeits for the Avondale Stakes and Avondale Guineas, close with the secretary, Mr. A. J. Farquhar, at 5 p.m. to-morrow.
ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES.
THIS MORNING'S GALLOPS.
Perfect weather prevailed during training operations at Ellerslie this morning. The No. 2 grass track was open, and there was a fair amount of useful work. The two-year-old track was also in use.
The first to work were Restaurant and Thursby, who were sent six furlongß, which they ran in 1.22 1-5, the former pleasing most.
Semi Circle ran home from the five furlongs post in 1.10 ?-5.
Optimistic was much too good for Lucklaine over a four furlongs sprint, which occupied 53 2-ss.
Golden Wedding was trotted once round on the sand, then pulled on to the grass, and ran home from the five furlongs peg in 1.8 1-5.
Sleepy Sol was a shade better than Segment at the end of a six furlongs gallop which took 1.25. They went from a standing start.
King Emerald was associated with Gold Money in a six furlongs task, covered in 1.29 2-5. They were only going at a shade better than threequarter pace. Town Teller finished several lengths in front of Norval Tea at the end of four furlongs in 555. Eager Rose was timed to run a halfmile in 54 l-ss, and Monetize was a shade better than Kawainga over a similar journey run in 545. Peketahi ran home from the half-mile post in 53 4-ss, Respirator and Brampton taking 56 2-5s for a similar journey. Double Mint and Template were given strong work over a round. The Fox was timed to run six furlongs in 1.22 3-5, the last half-mile in 54 l-ss. This horse is looking exceptionally well. Bulolo dashed over half-a-mile hi 54 l-ss. Sulla was timed to run six furlongs in 1.23 1-5, doing it well. e Modest Boy and Killute finished on terms over six furlongs in 1.24 4-5. Parfait Amour completed a similar task in 1.23 3-5. Sir Russell and Avoncourt were companions over a round, running the last six in 1.25 4-5. They were never off the bit. Lineroo defeated Mon Star and Mvola over a half-mile journey which occupied 54 l-ss. r Blue Spear was in front of Hannibal and Winsome Girl at the end of a similar task run in 545. Master Doon was responsible for the best half-mile of the morning, completing the distance in 52 3-ss. Branson dashed home from the three furlongs peg in 38 4-ss. He went well. War Officer was timed to run half-a-mile in 54 l-ss. Bombarder and Piet sprinted four furlongs in 55 l-ss. C-orinax and The Lover were allotted strong work over a round, running the distance in 2.2 1-5, without beinextended. ° Two-year-old Track. Royal Menu and Bennie sprinted three furlongs in 39 4-ss. i Grey and Neil were given a simi®r„ and were not hurried to run 42 3-ss.
