ENGLISHMAN'S ARREST.

ON FALSE PRETENCES CHARGE. REMANDET* TO WHANGAREI. A well-dressed Englishman. Geoffrey Edward Gibson Forster (26), came before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., at the Police Cout this morning on a charge of obtaining, with intent to defraud, from Jennie F Syme, at Whangarei on April 10, a motor car worth £150, by falsely representing that he was substantially financial, and that he owned a motor car and had'assets in a farm at Morrinsville. On the application of Chief-Detective Hammond, Forster was remanded, to appear at Whangarei on Friday next.
