QUESTION OF FACTORY ERECTION. (To the Editor.) Having observed that a steam laundry « about to bo erected adjoining the public school (where fresh air is most essential to the children attending it) in Surrey Crescent, which is the centre of a very large residential area, I would like to know whether it is fair to the ratepayers of the vicinity that the City Council should sanction the building of a factory of this description in a locality such as this. lam an owner of property near at hand, and naturally the value of this will be materially affected. Is there not a town planning association or something that has a sav in matters of this description? INDIGNANT.
