HUSBAND'S CHOICE.
BETWEEN WIFE AND DAUGHTER. DIVORCE PETITION FOLLOWS. Differences over a daughter by a former marriage was responsible for the appearance of William George Lott (Mr. R. A. Singer) and Maud Mary Lott (Mr. Allan Moody) in the Supreme Court this morning before Mr. Justice Blair. The husband was granted a divorce on the grounds on mutual separation. An answer had been entered to the petition, but Mr. Moody asked leave to withdraw it. Petitioner stated that he was married to the respondent on October 11, 1922. There were no children of the marriage, but he had four children by a former wife. Trouble had early occurred between respondent and himself over his eldest son and his daughter. As a result he and his wife separated. They later came together, and the daughter left the home. In December, 1024, the daughter had returned home. Respondent told him he would have to choose between her and his daughter. Petitioner had said that his daughter was ill, and that he could not turn her out of the house. Respondent had packed up and left „the next morning. The separation agreement which had existed between them be/ore was again observed. They had not lived together since. A decree nisi was granted to be made absolute in three months. Deed of Separation. Ada Howden (Mr. G. P. Finlay) petitioned for a divorce from Huntly Wilbert Howden on the grounds of mutual separation. She stated that they were married on May 22, 1907. There were two children of the marriage. In July, 1923, she and her husband had entered into a deed of separation, and since had lived apart. A decree nisi was granted to be moved absolute in three months.
