Miss May Holman, the only woman member of Parliament in Australia, has been visitint? Melbourne from West Australia, says the "Leader." She was only over for a week, and though she came for a short holiday she spent a very busy time. She visited State Parliament House on two days of the week and listened to the debates; she inspected the blind institute in St. Kilda Roed, and thought it a remarkable place; she attended several meetings at the Trades Hall, where she met fellowmembers of the Labour party, and she still found time for theatres and the races. Miss Holman is a most delightfully natural person. She is quite without affectation, and is the most unassuming member of Parliament it would be possib'e to meet. Her voice is quiet and soft, with a slieht Irish accent in it. She is very fond of music, and. in addition to M L.A.. she is able to write L.A.8., L.T.C.L., after her name.
