The annual conference of suppliers and others of the New Zealand Co-opera-tive Dairy Company to-day unanimously carried a resolution emphasising its objection to any more experimenting in summer time. The motion was carried without much discussion, and the chairman of directors, Mr. Dynes Fulton, declared that the board of directors was wholly in favour of it.

WHANGAREI DISAPPROVES.

; ■ v.; !• i\vi t 'orrespondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The Wliangarei Borough Council last night rejected a motion that it support the local daylight saving proposal. The opinion was expressed that the proposed legislation would certainly cause confusion.

MASTERTON OPINION.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) MASTERTON, Tuesday. The Masterton Chamber of Commerce to-day passed a resolution supporting legislation giving authority for local daylight saving schemes. The Masterton Borough Council at its meeting this evening, decided to urge upon the Government the desirability of allowing Mr. Sidey very facility in having his bill considered by Parliament.
