| THE ASSOCIATION'S TEAR. THE NEW OFFICERS. The annual general meeting of the Auckland University College Students' Association was held at the University College, with the retiring president, Mr. A. B. M.A., presiding over a large attendance. In moving the adoption of the annual report the chairman referred to the greatly increased activities of the association. The report showed a turnover of some £6000 for the year. The carnival play had produced a net profit of £430, and the association had thus been able to pay £400 to the College Council as a contribution towards the cost of the students' building. The success of the Bates College Debating Tour had enabled the Association to distribute £100 among deserving charities. The dining hall, which had been run by the association for the students, had been a great success, showing only a small loss on the year's working. Altogether the association had bad a most successful year. The annual report and balance-sheet were unanimously adopted. Several amendments were made to the association's constitution, and a new rule on the subject of universtiy blues was passed. The election of officers resulted as follows : President, Mr. A. K. L. Mcintosh and R. K. Walker, Messrs. L. H. Briggs, M.Sc., J. N. Wilson LL.B., T. C. Hay, C. R. Straus bell, 8.A., R. B. Hardy, 8.C0m.. P. C. Minns and N. C. Jenkin ; hon. auditor, Mr. J. W. Hyland, 8.C0m., A.R.A.N.Z., A.A.1.5.; tournament delegates, Messrs. R. B. Hardy and A. K. Turner.
