ONE DAY'S PAY.
RAILWAY WORKERS' RENT. NEW HOUSES AT NGAIO. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Since the beginning of the year the Railway Department has erected a block of 72 five-roomed houses in the suburb of Ngaio. With the exception of two, all were "factory-cut" at the Department's Frankton factory. The rent charged to railway employees for these houses is one day's * pay per week.
