The Englishman, Robert William jGunter, who early in the year posed se I Sir Robert Gunter, an alleged expert, I and who interviewed members of the I Government, as well as the Sydney Civu* j Commissioners on traffic problems, was deported to-day by the Marama to New Zealand, whence he will be sent to England. Gunter. who was an engineer, after a visit to New Zealand in 1927, arrived in Sydney armed with letters of introduction, but finally suspicions were aroused regarding his boua fides. An investigation resulted in his trial on a charge of false representation and he was sen- | tenced to imprisonment for six months. His term ha* now expired. { Robert William Gunter, who was sentenced to six months' imprisonment with hard labour in Sydney on March 6, on a charge of falsely representing that he was j Sir Robert Gunter, and thus obtaining the use of a motor car, has had a long run of I false pretences.
