The provisions of the scheme have been greatly extended. Every reader who fills in ani posts the form, which will be found on another page of this issue, is assured of financial provision in the event of the death of the breadwinner by fire at home or at work (for which a payment of £250 is provided), and also of compensation for scheduled accidents, including fractured limbs, broken collarbones and broken jawbones. Another new clause, of particular interest to users of the road, covers mishaps to cyclists and motor cyclists, a payment of £150 being available in the event of a"fatal accident, and £10 for a fractured limb. Another new provision which will appeal particularly to parents assures payment of £5 in the event of specified injury to the child of a registered reader.
