WHITE ARMY REMNANTS.
"BEGGAR KNIGHTS OF RUSSIA"
REVENGE DREAM.
WRANGEL DEAD, BUT AIDS KEEP
UP "ARMi."
War against Russia is inevitable within five years, so Baron Peter Wrangel's army of 50,000 troops will be maintained, ready to intervene, said General Chatzilov, chief of staff of the White Russian revolution leader, to a Chicago "Tribune" correspondent at Brussels.
"The Wrangel army will not be disbanded, but the organisation will continue functioning and the headquarters will remain in contact, with the small detachments of ex-soldiers wot king on farms, in factories and elsewhere throughout the Balkans, until it is time to renew the assault against the red terror in Moscow, said General Chatzilov.
"The Beggar Knights, as the Russian refugee soldiers are called, will remain intact and General Archangelskv, one of the chief lieutenants of Baron Wrangcl, henceforth wiU be in charge of maintaining liaison with all the groups in Macedonia, Bulgaria, Yugo-Slavia and Rumania." Expects Rumania to Ask Aid. General Wrangel'a staff believes Rumania soon will call for help from the veteran army against the Bolsheviks when the reds seek to reseize Bessarabia, and they think either Poland or one of the Baltic states may need reinforcements against the communists some day. "It requires two factors for us to resume military operations against the reds," said General Chatzilov. "Permission from some neighbouring State for our forces to march through their territory and strike at the Russian frontier, and financial aid for equipment and supplies. "I do not expect the League of Nations ever will undertake operations after dodging the question for years, but with Germany disillusioned after the arrest of its engineers and Great Britain breaking off relations owing to the revolutionary propaganda and the French elections defeating the left wing, it is possible the big Powers will get together for common action against the common enemy. Workers Contribute to Officers. "Since the army has scattered in the Balkans, the men have contributed one I per cent of their wages for the maintenance of Baron Wrangel and his staff, and the baron's officers will work steadily, perpetuating the relations with the troops, evolving plans for military operations against the Reds from various points between the Baltic and Black Seas, and drawing up estimates for equipment required when the time comes to strike—artillery, tanks, airplanes, armoured cars, uniforms, machine guns, small arms, food and rations.
"The details already have been prepared to mobilise the army from the scattered farms in the Balkans, equip and arm them and transport them on special trains to any point on the Russian frontier in the speediest time."
