LECTURES.

The British I.L.P. slogan, "That Socialism is possible in our Time," will be the subject of a purely academic debate between teams representing the Labour Party and the Auckland University College Debating Club, in the Strand Theatre on Sunday evening. The Labour Party team which will affirm, is W. T. Anderton, A. G. Osborne and B. Martin. The negative side will be taken by the University, whose team is: F. W. Simpson, J. N. Wil son, JjL.B., and A. R. Straubel, B.A. Dr. H. Belshaw, Professor of Economics, will be chairman. *

Next Tuesday a lecture is to be given in the Town Hall concert chamber by Miss Freda Duggan, the subject, being "The Science of Chiropractic." A chiropractor's work is purely mechanical, his percentage of results depending entirely upon his mechanical knowledge of the human system, especially in relationship to the Bpine. Miss Duggan will, in a most interesting way, explain this newly-recognised sciencc in detail.
