FRENCH STABLE STRIKE.

GIRLS replace jockeys. K The struggling French feminist movement has struck the racing stables at Maison Laffite. All the stables there went on strike for more pay, and when some of the finest thoroughbreds in France were brought out for morning exercise half a dozen were mounted by women. They were the daughters of trainers, all of whom are efficient at handling horses, but not too well versed in the combined effort of jockey and strike bro.f'.er.
