RICHMOND BAPTIST CHURCH.
TWENTIETH ANNIVERSARY.
A social gathering ivas hold last evening in continuation of thtf twentieth anniversary of the RichmoiuL'Road Baptist Church. The Rev. J. jftiddlestcne presided. Mr. W. H. Xewtoh, read the annual re[>ort, which stated that all the activities had been well maintained and the congregation had slightly increased. The report also mentioned the church's sincere appreciation of the devoted service of both Mr. and Mrs. Hiddlestone and its deep regret at his pending trans, fer to Milford. The treasurer's statement showed a small debit balance in general accounts, but reported a diminution of the debt on the church to £90 and on the manse to £680. During the eight years of the church's forward movement no less thtjn £2290 had been raised and expended oil this account. During the evening the Rev. W. L. Potter gave an inspiring address on spiritual power, the need of the Church to-day, and Mrs. Wilkins sang the solo, "How Lovely are Thy Dwellings."
EPSOM CHURCH.
CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR SOCIETY. The fourth anniversary of the Epsom Baptist Senior Chrvtian Endeavour Society was held iu the church, when about 80 were present, including members from other societies in Auckland. Addresses were given by Rev. A. W. Bean and Mr. I. M. Lilly. Greetings were received from the visiting societies, and also from Whanjrarei Baptist Society and Mr. Jupe, a past leader. After the meeting the guests partook, of supper provided by the Epsom branch.
