STANLEY BAY SCHOOL CONCERT.
Crowded to the dom-s with happy children and their parents the Stanley Bay Mission Hall wari a centre of animation 011 Thursday evening, when the prized for the model yacht and swiinmiij«j races were distributed to the successful contestants. Mr. C. M. Browne, chairman of the Stanley Bay School committee, j presided. Mesdames Stretton and Fisher directed the (school children in a wellarranged programme of musical and vocal uu in hers. The principal prizes were for the Robinson Cup competition, in which J. Wpollacott, D. Hill and P. Robinson were the successful contestants. For the model yacht race series J. Sainty, J. Woollac-ott, •). Bull and K. Dance received prizes. For the girls' swimming competitions the 1 prize-winners were: A. Redtern, R. Fisher, i K. Sheehan, M. Woollaeott and D. Archer. In the boys' section the school championship was won by Mervyn Willetts. while other prizes went to J. Stevenson, J. ■JoJinston and T. Hambrook. Mr. K. Aldridge, Mayor of Devonport, presented the prizes. Cheers for the cliairfnan and the lady organisers of the concert concluded a happy evening.
